The mission of the Friends of the Andrews Public Library is to serve the patrons and staff of the library. The Friends central purpose is to promote the love of reading and to support patron access to as many resources as possible. We also promote the materials, resources and services available at the the library.
Any person who wants to see the library grow and help our community can join the Friends. Any Friend is invited to join the Board of Directors and help coordinate library events and fundraising. Funds from the Friends help support ongoing children’s and teen events and provide prizes for the summer reading programs. All of the library’s DVDs and electronic equipment come from the financial support of the friends group and its fundraising efforts. As we work toward our goal of making Andrews Public Library a hub for the community, you can get involved by providing your time, talents, and more through the Friends of the Andrews Public Library.
The Friends of the Andrews Public Library maintains a used bookstore in the Library. All proceeds from bookstore sales go to support the Andrews Public Library (just like Friends’ membership dues). The bookstore offers used Books, Audio Books, DVDs, Computer Games, and Puzzles at outstanding prices.
